The counseling program at Country Lane provides support through full-class programming and lessons, small-group counseling, and individual counseling. Counseling Services Overview
Our comprehensive School Counseling program at Country Lane includes a variety of services for our TK-5 students. These services include:
Group Counseling: Small group counseling services are provided for students experiencing common concerns including anxiety, big feelings, difficulty with social skills, or other issues that impact their well-being in the classroom. We will meet in groups of 2-6 students, for 30 minutes per week for 8-12 weeks.
Individual Counseling: Individual counseling gives students one-on-one support for common mental health or behavioral concerns. Students often benefit from discussing challenges around self-esteem, social skills, big feelings, anxiety, academics, and other concerns. One-on-one counseling is typically provided for 30 minutes per week, for 4-6 weeks depending on need.
Check-in: Shorter individual sessions addressing common mental health, behavioral, or academic concerns. These sessions are 10-15 minutes long, once a week or every other week, and provide a quick touch point for students during the school day.
Classroom Lessons: This is where the Counselor will come into the classroom and facilitate a skills-based classroom lesson based on grade-level needs.
