PARKING / DROP OFF & PICK UP
The designated area for drop off and pick up is the horseshoe driveway off of Lassen Avenue, at the rear of the school.  There is morning and afternoon supervision in this lot to ensure student safety.

Please note:  the driveway on Brenton Avenue at Eileen Drive, near the cafeteria and room 31, is for district access only and not to be used for drop off or pick up at any time.  THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS INTERSECTION, and children are at risk when dropped off in this area.

The white curb on Teresita Avenue near room 20 and the portables is for student drop off or pick up only.  You may not park and leave your car in this area.  The green curb is for short term parking.

When parking, please remember:
*Please do not park on corners
*Please do not double park at any time
*Please do not park on red curbs
*Please be courteous to our neighbors by not encroaching on driveways, etc.
*Please do not use the driveway in front of the school to turn your car around or to park.  This is primarily for buses only
*It is not safe to drop off students in the middle of the block or street.  Please park properly and have students use crosswalks.

REPORT UNSAFE DRIVING:
Please help us keep our students safe!!  There have been too many close calls due to excessive speed and unsafe or distracted driving practices.  Drive safely, and if you see a chronic issue, please request traffic enforcement.

According to SJPD--traffic complaints are addressed through the School and Neighborhood Enforcement program (SNE).  Enforcement operations are based on the number of complaints the Traffic Enforcement Unit receives, and the danger the conditions create for the residents and the schools.  A Traffic Enforcement Request Form may be submitted when a resident, school official or business owner feels there is a chronic traffic problem.  This form may be completed and submitted online.  Please be specific in regard to the day(s) of the week, times and locations the violations are occurring in order to fully address the issue.

Enforcement is rotated on a quarterly basis, and members of the community are encouraged to continue to lodge requests, so please spread the word!  The link to the Traffic Enforcement Request form is https://www.sjpd.org/_forms/TEU_Request_Form.asp.
